well i got in my new mids a couple days ago and got them installed this weekend.

i am not finished yet, i still need to build some sort of grill onto the door panel to cover them up but the speakers are in and sound great.

i didnt get many pics of the doors while i was installing them because i was in a hurry and just didnt take any.

LOL **** nice, I wish I could fit something like that in my doors without having to completely change my panels //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

8" speaker ey...is that a DVC? I didnt even know they made 8" speakers...thought just woofers.
it is from the reference series.

they seem really hard to beat for the price.

Looks like you had to cut those doors up prett good to make them fit..... I bet thouse 8's sound good....
well unfortunately yes i did, i didnt have to cut the metal much which is nice.

and yes they sound really nice, now i just need a mid--range driver so i can cut off these at 4-500 and have the mid range's play up to the tweets.

looks good
thanks.

Hot damm, those are some nice little 8'' drivers. I would never be able to make room for them in my car, but I will definately consider those for my upcomming home audio setup.

Anyone ever tinker with these in sealed applications?

yeah the next ht towers i build will feature these, or a different size of the same line.

agreed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

well how do they sound? do they still rattle the hell outa the doors even with the deadening?
surprisingly they dont

i hear the occasional rattle but for the most part the doors are silent which makes me happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

How many watts are goin to them?
somewhere between 75 and 100.

Where do you have them crossed over?
they are running from 63 up to about 1.5Khz.

when i get my sub i might raise it to 80 but we'll see.

and i want to put in a mid-range then limit these to about 400 having the midrange playing up to 3-4khz.
