Dashboard Lights Went Out After LED Install

Okay, I installed 4 CCFL tubes into my interior and wired them straight to the battery. But when I started driving again it turned out that my dashboard lights behind the speedometer went out - could this be a weird coincidence or could I have actually done something wrong even though I went now where near those wires?

Also anyone know how rough it would be to install some custom LEDs now that they need to be replaced anyway?

The cold cathode tubes aren't wired into the dashboard lights at all?

If not then it would have to be a coincidence about the speedo backlighting going out.

seriously dumbashell right? i've done that and went days without dashlights in my buick before i figured what was wrong. Just start with that, then fuses, etc. trouble shooting FTW

yea this happened a few weeks back so i think i checked the fuses but im gonna double check that.

the dimmer i definitely checked.

anyone know anything about installing custom stuff behind there tho? might go that route if they are actually deaded

check the bulbs in the guage lights. maby they are burnt out.. do the other dash lights work?

all my dash lights are out, the speedo, gas gauge.. everything back there. i also replaced the fuse and it didnt do anything - bulbs must be burnt.

proly gonna look into something custom that looks pretty instead of just replacing them.

ive seen it done, you ave ot take out the whole cluster and there is bulbs behind the guages. also if u want some like digigtal readout screen or whatnot, i dont knwo the name of them usually in like the things that say temp outside car up ont he ceiling. you can use some window tint to get different colors out of them

yeah i think im gonna creep around oznium.com for a while and proly wind up installing LEDs.. hopefully it doesnt turn out too tough
