Good race today in Fontana. Kyle Larson wins after sitting on the pole and winning yesterday's Xfinity race. He had finished second four out of the last five races.

Dale Jr. announced that he is retiring at the end of the season.

Yeah, pretty much. I have followed NASCAR since the late 80's, but the last couple of years the racing has śucked more and more every week. The only race that I have watched all of this year was the Daytona 500.

He hinted around about retiring in Feb, I thought he was just joking. Especially since he's said on several occasions that he planned on racing for another ten years. Some will laugh and say it's stupid but this shit broke my heart. When I read that Jr was retiring my brain would not accept it. So I ignored what I had just read hoping that if I did that somehow it wouldn't be true. It literally took a day and a half for it to finally sink it. I completely understand his reasons for retiring and don't blame him one bit for doing so, but that doesn't make it sI'm any less. He hasn't been running, or at least finishing, well

this season but it's early and hopefully he'll get a couple of wins this year. Says he plans on running two Xfinity races next year. It definitely won't be the same without him.
