DAB, XM, SIRIUS-Need your help

Hi,

I live in Israel and the radio frequencies here are like in Europe. As the prices here are quite high and due to the fact I want to buy probably an Alpine 9815/9833/9835 head unit, I wanted to know some things about the sattelite radio support: In Israel there is not a commercial sattelite radio yet, but I want to buy a HU which has the support for it when it will start. I know the sattelite radio which will be used here will be like in Europe (and if I understand right, like in Canada and in the far east as well)-meaning, using DAB and not XM or SIRIUS. I wanted to know if a HU which supports XM (like Alpine's) or SIRIUS (like Clarion's) can work with DAB broadcasting, and if not, if you know about a place in which I can find DAB supporting head units by Alpine (or maybe Clarion).

As far as i know, Alpine doesn't have HU's with DAB...in fact i can't think of one HU company that may or does have it....sorry.

just get an fm modulator to go with your deck and no matter what satelite radio comes out in your country, u can connect the reciever to your HU with the fm mod.

Can the head units sold in the US which are XM ready work with Sirius technology? Can the head units which are Sirius ready work with XM technology? If this is possible, than it will also be possible to have these sattelite ready head units work with DAB.

You can use either service through an external box with an XM modulator or aux input, but you cannot do it dedicated through the deck without the unit supporting it.
