D@mn I hate selling on ebay sometimes!

I sold a Joe Rocket Leather Motorcycle jacket on ebay over a month ago for $55

I met the guy at a gas station and he looked at it and tried it on and liked it.

Now he has opened an Ebay claim saying the jacket is missing the armor (it is not, I bought it brand new and sold it the same way I bought it) and the top button doesn't work right.

He wants me to send him $75 (he paid $55) and says when he gets the money he will mail the jacket back. WTF???

He lives a few 100 miles away but was in my area when he bought the jacket.

So when I told him I would not send him more than he paid and not before he returned it anyway he says he will be at my house in June to get his money.

What is wrong with people?

Also I love how ebay gave him my address so now I gotta worry about some jackazz coming to my house and possibly messing with my stuff or something cause he wants to scam me and I won't let him.

Seriously I am sick of selling on egay as well.

I gave up on ebay when they put an arbitrary cap on shipping prices for video games. A Fat PS3 packed well will sure as shit cost more than fifteen fucking dollars to ship. I couldn't change the cost, no matter which company. I ended up eating ten dollars because of it.

Just knowing the scum that are out there and the bending over for them that PP and eBay do, screw it.

im starting to think powersellers are living frugally nowadays
Gotta figure around 15% between ebay and paypal. All the eBay "protection" pretty much screws legit sellers and allows scam sellers to still rob a buyer.

I must say I do high sales volume on there, but there's so much stuff I don't list there because of oppressive fees that just kill profit margin. You just need to make sure you have enough margin to cover the 15% + 1 or 2 out of 100 that'll be lost in the mail, charged back, or whatever else.

well how would you set up a 2ch amp if you had 4 speakers with two being different from the other two and the amp having one gain and one x-over setting and the speakers would have different wattage req.??
it's been done many of times you would wire the amp 2 ohms stereo set the xover to play freqs about 100hz and up and your good to go. you would either have left right fader or front rear.

geez. quite a bit of math involved i must say!

Percentages are simpler than you might think. 15% is whatever number multiplied by .15 So that plus pick two items out of 100 at random and figure those will disappear or be destroyed in shipping. Usually less, but if you can afford to lose 2 in 100 you're golden.

Some predict it'll only be about 100 sellers on ebay eventually. I can say I hover around gold power-seller status and while I get better treatment than most my measley 1000-2000$ a month in fees is peanuts compared to the real big dogs.

Sadly they have a complete monopoly on online auction place and there is absolutely nowhere else where you have a worldwide audience who will absorb as much volume of goods. My business partner lives in eastern Europe and they have Alegro (or somesuch) there and eBay has found it difficult to establish a market share in that part of the world since people realize how oppressive their fees and policies are for sellers.
