i say you do 2 cvx ported because i see no room in your truck for four ported or sealed unless you do major fabrication or a blowthrough. you would not be able to build a box with enough airspace for four of them!

oh fyi the mic isn't suppose to be close to the sub it is more louder towards the front of the car where most the pressure goes that is why when you get tested on a term lab the mic is at the kicks or head rest!!

ok well i plan on giving each sub about 2-2.5 cu ft so anywhere from 8-10cu ft for all the subs and i plan on having them in 2 seperate boxes one is going to be in place of the rear center console and the other will be in in back seat driver side and i will take it out if a 3rd person rides with me

for the box dimesnions on the one for the console will be about 26 long 25 deep and 18 wide

probably a little too much air, (though i don't build boxes), i have 1 in 2.25 cubes ported at 32 htz, and was told i wouldn't need to double that for two, so i'm guessing 4 would be right at 7.5 maybe, not including port area...

however i could be wrong...

well i plan on getting 2 for now and then 2 more down the road and 2 1500.1 kicker amps what would they do the best in ported or sealedalso i had 3 10's mtx with a 500rms amp for my first system and hit 128db when i had the reader bout 3 inches from the subs lol not bad but how much diff would that setup be compared to 2 12's

idk those measurements bring 5.5 cubic airspace before sub displacement you also have to account for the port length height and width if it's gonna be a slot port so you will either have to add some length to the box or take a way from some of the airspace and placing two in one box and two in another is not a good idea. will also be cancellation because i doubt you can get 5.5 cubic airspace out of that rear center console or the tuning on the box's may be different. not good

most likely thats why you don't usually see people with seperate boxs

you would be surprised how much a diff it makes i bet you 4 cvx's of 2 1500.1 could it low to mid 40's

If not then you should DIAF! Shit with the setup and the right enclosure, he should be pushing mid 140's and close 150 as long as the install is done right.

I was hitting almost 140 with 1 12!

your not gonna be able to hit 150 with that setup it takes double the power to get a 3 db increase so if he is hitting a 140 with 1,500 rms he would need around 12,000 rms to get to a 150 i don't see them handling that ha! how much cubic airspace do you have i would make it atleast 7 cubes ported or more
