cvrs or cvxs???help

hey trying to get some peopls opinons on this ive got a friend whos got a toyota matrix he currently is running 2 15 cvrs powered by a sx1250.1 whe have currently peaked out at 144.1 we plan on redoing the system for next season but moneys kinda short would it be better to get 2 CVX 15s or 2 of the cvx 12s i think with the amp the 12s would do better...just trying to get some opions thanks

i would sell the cvr and look into some audioque subs..... the price is close to the cvx's. hdc3 or even hd2.5 would do some numbers.

either sub would do good on that amp... if you got the hdc3 subs, you could up grade to another 1250.

ya the origanal plan was to upgrade all the wireing to1/0 add another 1250.1 and switch to 2 15in cvxs so now weve run out of money,so thats out the window were realisticly trying for a 150db season witth this we beleave the subs we have are at thair full putental

ive read that the 15 cvx's are real loud on lows,the 12 cvx's are loud period.especially in a hatch

i'd get your friend out of the *** car before i was worried about the audio inside of it...

the cvx's will be a bit louder, and can handle more power as well.

Sell your 1250.1 and your CVR's.

SCRAPE up some change

I'm sure you can find a used 2k rms amp around here, cheaper quality but still power, for what you could sell that 1250.1 for. People are crazy these days.

Hell, I'm selling a 3k rms amplifier for 325 bucks shipped right now, for example, and it's not even a bad quality amplifier!

I say Up to about 2k RMS and do two nicer 15's in a properly ported enclosure....

before you start selling stuff and buying stuff you may not need, try another box design first.
