CVR15's or Type R 15's

Which would be louder with pretty good sq in a 2007 Dodge Charger.....Hoping to put them in the trunk....rather do sealed box around 4.5 cu ft. for the CVR's and 4cu ft. for the type r....but i can do a ported box, i know they would get louder ported, just give me proper size and tuning if you think they'd do better ported....prolly gonna run either setup off of 1500wrms

agreed...Type-R's can get NASTY loud in the right enclosure...and SQ is better than CVR. Kicker is a more SPL oriented brand. Type-R's are mainly SPL as well, but I think they sound better than CVR's.

go with the type R if you get the CVRs u will want to give them more power with the Rs you can throw more power at them. atleast that how i feel about my Cvrs right now.

As far as in SPL, a R will take a fat dump on a CVX. The CVX sounds better, however.

biggest box and port that he has room for.I'd go about 4 cubes plus port displacemant,64 sq inches at about 20 inches long.thatll tune to about 38hz and get loud without a ton of power.so about 5.25 cubes gross volume
