cvr probs!!!!

I don't know why people gotta rag on Kicker so bad. I've had a few pairs of CVR's and comps overs the years and beat the piss out of them and after I beat them I sold them on Craigslist to another person that was looking for cheap bass. I wouldn't pay retail but then again, I don't really buy equipment new.

Kicker makes some meh subs .. But to even consider comps or cvrs as good woofers is beyond stupid

I didn't say they were "good". I said they were cheap bass. To see the word "good" anywhere in my post is beyond stupid.

The sub doesn't make a scratching sound when I press on it ,in the centre, but when I press on one side then its like the bass disappears but still plays music, but when pressed on the other side of the cone, the sub plays with less distortion!....could it be that the one coil could be damaged from have gravitational force plus the weight of the spider leaning down on it for almost a year ?

Sounds like you have a coil rub. The sub won't be damaged from just sitting up on a box for a year. Push the sub in the center with the sub off to see if you feel any kind of rub.

I think its a slight coil rub only on the one side, I hear no distortion when pressing in the centre

Ok so, where to start... Make sure you have the system off. Push DIRECTLY on the middle of the sub, not to either side. Only on the middle. Then tell us if there is any rubbing or scratchy feel/sound.

Yes It feels scratchy/stuck when I press abit hard in the centre,Only when the sub is completely pressed down.....the cone feels abit stiff too

Take a multimeter across the positive and negative terminals on the sub box and tell us what it says.
