Cutting through the back seat to the trunk?

Behind your rear seat, in the rear deck, say between your rear speakers (remove rear speakers for that matter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ). There is usually a fair amount of sheet metal that you can remove. You do not want to remove anything that will weaken the structure of your vehicle, so do some research or find someone local to help you out with it. Then you just recover the rear deck with fabric/carpet and it looks stock. It should give you quite a bit more space then cutting through at the armrest.

I agree with Chrisle, I don't think cutting a hole behind the armrest will do very much for you. Cutting a portion of the rear deck & covering it would be the way to go but even doing that I wouldn't expect a hell of a lot of diff.

ohh ok i see. i was looking it up and i found some people like to put the subs there. yea im prolly going to go to a local shop, but a lot of them dont really give you options, they just do what you ask, regardless of it being beneficial or not. thanks a lot!

I went to a couple shops for estimates and some suggested dynamat, others said i should remove the fabric between the back seat and metal. Its a thin foamy material with a layer of what i think is plaatic/rubber. Thoughts?
