hey guys, im going to be installing 40sqft fo SS Dam, and i need to know what normal house hold products i could use to clean the surface with.

I have this thing called orange blast it says it contains " a proprietary blend of Alkaline detergents & natural orange extract... Will this work, i also have Rubbing alcohol, windex, bleach, and thats it. let me know.

thouroghly cleaning it with windex first and then going over it with alcohol should get them surfaces pretty clean.

Frankly, I've never done anything more than wipe the surfaces down with a towel or rag and have never had a problem with any of the deadener not sticking.

I did my Jeep last Year and only wiped it all down with some shop rags and went to town and not one single problem sice it was installed.

i found some stuff at wal-mart. $1.xx a can, industrial cleaner, looks like janitorial supply stuff. It was near the windex and stuff, but it looks like screen cleaner for computers, kinda foams up. Best stuff I've found. Ingredients include petroleum distillates, alcohol, propane, butane. Well, I'm not SURE of the ingredients, but it has everything experienced people say use in it. No fancy fragrances or residues.

i used a can of acetone. it was $1.62 at wally world.

i used sand paper and scuffed up the area and then wiped it down with a towel and it still there
