Most of my music sounds really good, but some dubstep/hiphop will go so low that the subwoofer seems to drop off. It's a 10" bandpass that is rated down to 35Hz and sits in the trunk.

The radio store guy says the headunit is cutting off the lowest frequencies.

I was thinking I need to add a larger subwoofer.

So, even if I add an LC8i and bypass the headunit to my speakers and get improved low end frequency, can I also add a 15" ported sub to the trunk to get even louder and harder hitting bass?

Will this cause frequency cancellation and negate some of the gains?

Instead of a 10" plus a 15", should I be looking at improving my single 10" or going with multiple 15"s?
