its a program called Adobe Photoshop(insert version number here) you shouldnt have trouble finding information about it all over the internet. maybe a free download

ive been using it for about 8 years, and i have a job using it (and adobe indesign\adobe pagemaker\adobe acrobat)

all tools for the aspiring graphic artist, or kid who wants to make a sig. all you really need for that is adobe photoshop =)

i also reccomend Macromedia FireworksMX 2004. A very good -entry-level but industry accepted program that is easier to pick up and play with than photoshop. A combination of both will really bring any ideas that you have to life.

no rush. I all was asking for is suggestions to make mine better, i got a decent knowledge of photoshop. But if you want to do it that is cool with me. And if you want to do it add a sweet pic of a white 97 Monte

well i would make your monte the background or make it the bulk of your sig...take out all the gear, and jsut put the PA logo, your username, and list of components....maybe a line like "reppin PA to the fullest" faded at the bottom or something like that. match it all in the same blue that the PA logo is in, use some simple drop shadows on the text, frame it and you are good to go.

yea, its because i had a low rez version that i had to work with of my car. once i get the 1.2mb jpeg to edit then it will have alot more contrast and look better than it is. its like that because i had to de-saturate it to get the bodykit to look like it should be there, it didnt match (blue reflection on black car versus my silver car with a yellow reflection) so i had to take all the saturation out.
i like my signature because it isnt flashy. ill prolly end up making it more of a grey to match the background of this site like my avitar style. i like that alot. im not into huge contrast

that looks alot better imo with the symbols seperated like that.

i got you man....to solve that problem i would give the overall look a washed-out effect, make it more bleak..maybe take all the saturation out of everything and just go with that eerie green glow.....its definitely working though, i like that a lot... i like it, its totally opposite of what i usually do. very simple, and straightforward. Sometimes that is what it is all about. Im a detail guy and I try to use as much colour as i can, just something that you have to stop and look at to find all the little cues that i throw in....anyways, i am going to do some more experimentation, try toning things down a bit from what i regularly do, and see what i come up with. im in the process of redesigining my business' website, plus i have to maintain my day job, so between that and doing all these sigs I am staying busy.....appreciate your criticisms, its really broadening my views. I think this is one of the best ideas i have had, its really challenging me which i wanted to do so keep the requests coming, and dont just give me model names, please send me pics of your ride, gear and ideas of what you want.....

wow mr eff, you are really workin on t hese.

i myself usually try to stray away from text\drop shadows unless im going for the knockout effect. i try and get a different way for the text to have contrast than that. try painting your logos yourself or writing your text grafiti style. go online and get some graffiti logos, and try and use them for your graphic, use the pen tool to make the outlines (photoshop) and then the brush with different texture brushes to make your spraypaint texture.

thats what i was planning on doing. and painting one of those cartoon cars formyself.

go different route than just pictures of the car and the companies logos.

i dropped all the logo colors to get more of a theme with the green\black, but i dont like it that dark, so im going lighter+more color next time, im sketching it out on paper (im also a cartoonist) and then im goin from there... i wish i had my buddy jarrett around, he is a really good grafitti artist.

butalas, i need to figure that out myself.

but my imo, take it away from cut\paste logos\pictures and paint somthing origional for yours *this requires much more work than what you are doing now - so dont bother making these for everyone, they are hard work, and rewarding to completely paint yourself*

i used the pen tool to re-make that CDT logo so it was nice and crisp. i got it right from the CDT website on the main page, and it was bad quality.

so dont forget you can always re-make different logos\pictures if they arent good quality.
