custom sub questions...

Getting loud off 1500 and handling 2000+ are 2 different things. If you want a really stiff *** inefficient sub thats gonna handle 2kw+, its probably not gonna be super loud on 1500. Id go with a soft suspension setup if it were me building it. IMO, wasting that much power on a little sub is just that, a waste. If youre going for daily loudness and SPL you need to rethink some stuff and start chopping up that honda to fit 6cf net for 2 15s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif


Question, if you can move a sub the same amount with 1000w and a soft suspension, why would you wanna do it with 2000w? Just to say it handles 2000w?

BTW some auto parts stores sell this bad *** epoxy spray paint called VHT, should check it out.

i agree if i can get a sub that gets just as loud off 1k compared to 2k id rather do that obviously...but i dont want 15's i want a single 12 for now. tired of multiple sub setups..ran 4 tens not to long ago...and i dont want to cut up my daily driver...and about 1500 and 2000rms im just asking for stuff that i should let scott know before he starts working on the woofer. kinda like it may not be 100% possible but it attleasts lets him know what im sorta after or looking for...get what im saying?

Thats basically it, but i figured you already knew that. Ive always just said what kind of power i have, and what ohm load i want, and maybe what kind of dustcap.
