Custom Speaker Baffles / Spacers

Got a Camry.. it comes with a spacer that my FREAKING CDTs don't fit. I can make due with them but I'm not sure how secure they'll be. Anyone know who makes these? I'd do it but it probably requires a router and decent sawing skills, neither of which I have.

Your dad any good with wood? Got any friends that are? Uncles? Grandpa?

Worse comes to worse, a local shop could do it for ya. But, it'd be so much easier [read: cheaper] just to find someone who does have the skills.

Well, I bought a jigsaw to build my box.. didn't come out TERRIBLY for a first attempt. It'll work, if nothing else, lol. The spacer I saw was excellent though, trying to remember whose page it was on. They had a lot of box building experience though... Was this site with like 10 pages of just his custom boxes and whatnot. I think his name was Marv? Merv? Something like that.

just make it on cardboard with a pencil, cut it out for the 'template' and trace this onto some wood. then just cut it.

if it looks terrible, noone will see it. so dont worry about it. just get them to fiit snug

BTW, Marv is an awesome guy. If you want him to do it for ya, he can (and for a reasonable price). But, I'd still atleast attempt it on your own (or with someone's help) first.

Yea, found it through Google, through his description on ECA.. and I saw what I remember seeing. Was on page 5, the Lexus IS300 baffles.

The main thing about this is that my door is contoured around the speaker hole. So it's like .. "raised?" I guess, about an inch.. maybe a little more. And it curves back into the door frame. That's the only reason I'm concerned with it. I'd have to be able to cut a pretty good curved hole thingamabobber.

Isn't that the door that people are cutting the OEM driver frame struts out of the spacer, and mounting 5-1/4" 's in?
