Custom or Probox for Silverado Ext cab

Well I had my eyes on a Probox for a while buy the guy never replied to emails, so im looking again. I am looking for a Probox or a custom box for my truck, an extended cab Silverado, 2004 model. I am going to have two 12"s in it, so if custom box for sale keep that in mind. Otherwise I am just looking for a Probox( http://www.Proboxrocks.com ) for an 04 ext cab Silverado that holds 12" subs.

Let me know what you got and name a price.

what kind of subs do you have? moe lester and those guys are done in texas maybe they can build you a box....pm him

Just to vouch for probox this is what all my friends bought cause they are to lazy to build and they are actually the best prefab boxes i have ever heard

The problem is that I dont have them yet, the box I was going to buy had some subs in it that I was going to use until I found a good deal on some better ones, but since that fell through im going to wait on the sub purchase for after I get a box. The probox only has .70 CF of air and 6" mounting depth so im pretty limited if I go with the probox. I dont plan on doing any competition or anything.. Just trying to get a bit of bass so music wont sound so dull in my truck.

I guess you can but the box then find a sub that'll work well with your box, but it would be easier imo to just find a sub and then have a box made for the sub after.

Probably right. I had some D312d4 Diamonds reccomended to me previously on the forum for the Probox, and they fit my budget, the box's mounting depth and volume pretty well.

Any reccomendations would be welcome then for custom boxes.

EDIT: Whoops, the volume reccomendation for the Diamonds was 1.5, not .70 . My mistake.

I think moe is in houston, how far from there are you. I can't really quote him, but I think he could work something out for ya. Chances are that box is only made to fit your truck but not to mate with your sub... his will do both.

Probably a good idea. What is his username? I am about a 6 hour drive one way from Houston.

in these trucks, i think two 10"s ound better. they just tend to work better with the cab. i have gotten more performance out of 10"s and more SQ than i did out of two 12"s. take a look at my box, see if you like that one. my seat is raised 1/2" too.

Nice truck! I really like that box design too, I have sene some others out there that look too generic, that box looks like it fits great. Do you have the plans for it still, and perhaps dont mind sharing them?

i actually had a guy that i deal with build it, at the time he knew more about the ext cab silverado than i did. well of course, #2 zapco dealer in the nation, bound to know more than me/most, his craftmanship/knowledge surpasses everyone within a few hundred miles of me for sure. anyway, i can talk to him about duplicating my box for you or sharing his plans.
