Custom Kick Panels vs. Custom Doors

Air motion tweeters sound pretty good. The ppi set uses them. I have a pair of dayton b652s with the AMT tweeter and they sound a lot better than most soft domes. Super rich sparkling upper end with zero harshness.
Do you think they'll keep up with sub stage is the question?

if you bridge the ppi to them, the question is if your subs stage can keep up with them.
I like the way you think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I would love that feeling honestly.

Looks like you have a little bit of work to do now ;) this is why I avoid SQ, it's too complicated for me at this point in my life  all I care about right now is the bass and the vocals keeping up. Once I get older and don't care as much about SPL, I'll definitely move over to SQ to finally experience what good sound actually sounds like haha.

Thanks for helping out @Jeffdachef!

I think once I get enough money to do a solid SQ stage, I'll do that if I don't do the PPI set. Just always curious about if less cone area will be able to do better, I know in terms of SQ it will, but I am just not sure if I'll be able to hear it over everything clearly.

Can some one link me to a diagram or a explanation for what is being talked abt here id love to learn a bit abt speaker relocation for better sq
Some location are pretty interchangeable between small midranges and tweeters if you want to do a 3 way active front. Best thing to do is get double sided tape and have the tweeters stuck on to possible locations and see how they sound. You'll also want to have them either angling directly at your ears (on axis) which is usually the best or 30 degrees off axis or 60 degrees off axis (which just means pointing 60 degrees off from directly firing at your ears.) .

Usually for SQ, people do A pillar mids and tweets (B on the second diagram) and the picture of what i showed in an earlier post.

Yeah I love SQ for daily. However I like choking, painful bass as well. Good thing there's always a sub level i can lower down the bass to blend with the mids(yes you can do that even with 4 18s...) along with having two custom EQ settings, one for SPL, one for SQ. Having the Best of both worlds is the sh*t! 80 PRS FTW!

What type of processing do you have?

I had a soundstream harmony, enjoyed it when i did have it in running 3 way active, however since i switched out my laptop, I have no way of connecting to the ppi to tune it since the new one does not have a dedicated com port on the motherboard.... fking *****...

I have to use the 80 prs for 2 way active front now. Front stage getting some revamp to match the 4 18s comming in. New amps, two pwx 10s with sonotubes in the doors and maybe an alpine DSP in the future when I have access to a working com port and go back to 3 way active and then i'll do some 4 inch midranges in the dash.

Dang, my buddy has some 3 ways and I forgot which ones but he just got a Helix dsp I think in and loves it.
