building a box is not hard to do, especially if you have woodworking background like i do. i no longer build rectangular boxes but rather concentrate on fiberglass, and even that i really don't get into anymore.
i realize you build boxes and sell them on this forum but this was in no way directed at you nor a reflection on you or any box builder. to be totally honest the thought of you never entered my mind. if you must know it was directed at a potential seller (with less than a 5 post count) who was selling a 'custom' sealed sub box that was anything but custom.
ownedWell, most of the time a "custom box builder" refers to people who build a box around a subwoofer. There are pre-fabricated boxes with, what seems to be arbitrary numbers, and tuned to an arbitrary number.
But all the box builders on this website build as per the subwoofer... and IMO That's custom built.
i think some may have missed the point i was trying to make.ya know what irks the hell out of me? people who sell off pre-fab boxes and call them custom. there is nothing custom about a rectangle. it has 6 sides and 2 holes for subs. IT IS NOT CUSTOM!
There is more to a "custom" box, then just its shape //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifya know what irks the hell out of me? people who sell off pre-fab boxes and call them custom. there is nothing custom about a rectangle. it has 6 sides and 2 holes for subs. You said rectangle is not custom. I beg to differ./sigh
a pre-fab box from bb or cc or any other store, chain or not, is not a custom box. period. i don't care if it is rectangular, square, circular or in the shape of an ice cream cone. i never mentioned box builders, designers or anyone who sells custom made boxes on this or any other site.
