New to the forum so go easy please!

I have a New 07 Honda Accord EX and looking to add a little bit to the low end. I have a stock HU and have already replaced the stock speakers with some quality Polk DB series 5250 components in the doors and DB690 in the rear.

After a lot of searching I decided to forgo the prebuild subenclosure/amp combo and build a box myself and have chosen the Kicker compVR 10 D2.

I am looking for accurate bass without sacrificing a lot of room so i think i am looking at a sealed enclosure?

Could anyone give me advice on location in my particular car as well as sizing for this speaker? Again looking to minimize impact to trunk space.

Also I haven't purchased an amp yet to drive this speaker and would like any advice on this. I guess i am leaning to a kicker 200 + watt amp at the moment.

thanks

I just built a ported box for a PB 10 with about 1.52 cubic feet gross and it sounds great....sealed will prolly not give you the losw you are looking for.

Find someone on here to build you a box that small for ur Kicker or someone locally I might have pics of it here in a while

Actually i am quite good with the carpentry skills and am looking for something just to add to the low end. I ain't looking to blow the windows out of my car or even have someone next to me hear it. just add the low end that i am missing with my stock speakers.

Im actually looking for advice on placement in the accord trunk that will be the least intrusive and give me decent sound.

thanks for any input

After some research on the Kicker site I am going to go with the 1.25 c.f. box that they recommend for the compvr10. Im going to reconfigure it so the port is out the front instead of the side.

Ill post when I have it complete.

Also I have a question for box builder.

Anyone building boxes in Hampton Roads VA area?

If so what would you charge for this type of box?
