Buy a design. Get a cut sheet take to lowes tip saw man $20 bucks he will make all cuts go home glue and screw together and rent or borrow a jig to make the hole and ur good to go. U can build you own for well under 100 bucks... Wood 30-35bucks 20buck tip, $6 glue, $4 screws. I know someone around u has a jig u can borrow for 5 mins.

If not pay for shipping should fit in flate rate usps boz and I will send u my jig use it send it back.

Yea and u will get a box that may or may not fit together. Big sign says cuts may be off. Tip the man and he will take his time and get it done right.

Talk to pro-rabbit, he is starting to do DIY enclosures where he cuts and sends you all the stuff, all you need to do is assemble.

Thats what Im doing, he's working on the design right now and Im happy with the price

I like birch over mdf most of the time, but it does not alter the price 99% of the time. Most logistic companies use "bulk weight" which is derived from the size of the item.

can someonemake me a good simple and cheap box for 2 12s for around 135 shipped ? Or would it be cheaper for me to get a box design and get home depot to cut it out for me ? I don't have the time to make a box

What subs? Depending on the actual size needed I can get you a DIY kit with in that price range I think.

this and it works bring your tape measure if they mess up they will get it right from another sheet then...if not enough left from your sheet...theyve done this for me before....right there saved another $35 so well worth tipping the guy a $20

You need a finer tooth blade for birch than MDF dont you? I seen the lowes guy destroy some lady's birch on crosscuts a few weeks back. I would love to use birch, but I'm afraid it wouldnt machine as well as MDF.

I had a kid at lowes cut me up some wood. First 2-3 cut's were free and .25 ea after that. I told him I needed exact and he got them dam near perfect. Took it home and made it.

The cost of a sheet of 3/4 mdf w/ cuts, -75- 1 1/2"screws, caulk, wood filler and wood glue was $60~.

Assuming box builders buy their materials in bulk theres no way it would cost over 50 bucks to build a 3/4 mdf, uncarpeted, single port dual 12" box.

You can get a real nice box on ebay for $149 from mobile_soundworks tuned at 32 hz
