No, I can't. Trump attempted trade tariffs with China in 2018. It didn't slow imports a whit.

Can you provide any evidence that this reduced drugs coming into the country, or illegal immigrants coming into the country?

Look at Walmarts sales after Trump imposed tariffs on China in 2018.
They continued the same growth they had achieved before the tariffs.
Government gets tariff money, government collects more taxes.
Net gain.

Tell me about a border patrol in the US, Mexico, Canada, or China that keeps people from LEAVING.
I've never been to an international border where they tried to stop me from leaving.
It's always the destination country that may deny entry, securing things.

He agrees overtime pay should go away. He's pushing to directly increase prices of goods by up to 25%.
He wants to strip 40M people of healthcare.
That helps the citizens HOW?

I know a tariff CAN affect the exporter, but it historically hasn't. The most recent failures have been Trump's and Bush's attempts.
There are virtually no economists who say that tariffs work for economic reasons, and that predates Trump and even Bush by multiple decades.

What magic is Trump going to perform to both make tariffs work, and to make them work to affect something entirely unrelated to the business economy. ?

Yeah, you have no interest in listening. You are going to argue literally everything in a negative way. Tariffs have been explained to you more than enough for anyone to understand how they affect the entire chain and you are willfully ignoring that so you can argue, argue, argue to the negative the entire conversation. You see trigger words then shoot off on little tangents demanding answers for them too. Who the **** are you to think that everyone needs to prove and explain everything to you? They haven't worked historically and there is no economic theory that exists that shows they will work.
Ask any economist, and they'll tell you it doesn't work, AND why.

Their mere existence doesn't mean they work.
Trickle down theory exists, but similarly doesn't work.

MULTIPLE times it has been stated here that those things will be the benefit of tariffs.

Yet, no one can seem to explain the why, or what will be special about THESE tariffs that they will work at all, much less that they will work in some way to change illegal immigration and drug demand.

Be totally honest: Did you simply believe Trump's claims that tariffs get paid by foreign exporters, and that this will make those foreign exporters get OUR country under control?
Consider it a two-part question.

You both continue to answer with non-answers. Things like telling me tariffs affect the supply chain and the consumer, or I'm too blind to see the answer, or that tariffs will make Canada create a border patrol to keep people IN, or that importers will eat the expense.

Neither of you has explained, in any way, your claim that tariffs will reduce illegal immigration and drug trade.
You just talk your way in a circle, until you end up back at the original claim.

Clearly you haven't the cognitive ability to comprehend tariffs other than democrats told you to believe they are ALL bad and Trump is the Devil.

Simple breakdown - You, Rob, are selling an item in my store. I charge you $.10 each to sell these $1 items in my store. You sell MANY of these items. Your boss harasses our customers. We tell him to stop harassing our customers or we will charge YOU $.90 each item to sell in our store. You gonna tell your boss to stop harassing our customers?
