Some of those schools have the impression that they are degree mills and the students don't get real information.

I am curious the number of job offers by classmate are different online versus class room. In class, people are able to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking skills -- on more of an impromptu basis than online. I have had this guy all semester trying to get me to quit and work as an actuary for an insurance company. I don't think that kind of networking is available online. Even when there where online "groups", we communicated via email. Lug's classes seem a bit more interactive, but I don't know how much job-related networking gets accomplished.
A good mix is definitely necessary. I agree college is good for networking. Even though me and you are probly looking for different type of networking.

My online classes were very interactive it was a major part of your grade.

HMMMM, that is actually a very good point considering I am really only using this as a tool to better my advantage in the job market. With the current job market I am finding my work experience isn't enough. Employment networking while obtaining this tool would be a bonus advantage. I may have to "Flip" this decsion and put the 2 options on a scale //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I am sure much of that is fine online and camous teaching won't benefit me too much on them. However, I like the networking idea and may have to take a few on campus.

So, Iam, I suppose the value of the online class depends on how it is setup. The interaction I had with other students is more or less worthless, although very similar to what one would experience in a workplace enviornment.
The interaction I had with professors during and after class, and being invitied to seminars and such where other educated people meet and present papers on topics was more valuable. I went to school to more or less become an academic, not for work-skills, or pvssy chasing.
My pvssy chasing days are far far behind me. I am not considering being an academic although chasing a bachelors isn't out of the question. First and foremost is to stabilize my employment and/or open more doors to me.

I hate you.

Ummm, looks like most of those id take in class, based on just what im assuming they are.

That is what most adults do. This is what I fear if I land a position at a community college, to develop a worthwhile experience online.

I don't know how much employment networking takes place during those online classes. Perhaps Dev or Lug can comment on job offers from professors (reccomending you work for a friend) or from other students because of the interaction in an online class.
However, sitting in a class doesn't guarentee you opportunities. Inciting valuable discussion, making good grades, and being well liked also helped. Trolling, for instance, would only work once well. Then you would more or less be ignored. In a classroom setting, people don't rotate in-and-out like they do here. 90% of the students are the same in every class, it is known as a cohort type of education.
LOL at you bringing up the trolling. This is something I would take extremely serious. I have no problems and never have in engaing discussion. Now whether others thought it was intelligent or not is another thing. I can't speak for them.

My first go at college was the beer chugging and pvzzy chasing though. I also didn't pay for that first attempt and was a lot more ignorant than I am now.

It wasn't a personal shot at you dev...it is not uncommon for many student's favorite class to be *** ed.
