Sounds like she maybe doesn't know what to do and doesn't want to be rude about it. Or maybe she just doesn't want anything at all and is trying to be nice about it. However, to know for sure the next time you see her face to face ask if she doesn't have any plans this weekend if she would like to go out to dinner or go walk around in the park or something harmless like that.

Harmless is good... I would let it roll out for a little while so you don't seem desperate (women hate that). Maybe she will think about you and decide that you are a really nice guy.

I would maybe let it be for a day or two. This is where women might start seeing a guy as a little desperate for attention. Just talk to her again in casual conversation, like if you see her walking down the hallway or something. (You said she was in the same apartment as you, right)

I agree with what everyone else has said. Dont' say anything else today, let it sit with her for a day or maybe two and then ask her again. That way she has time to think about the time she met you and maybe you are a real nice guy and she should give you a try.
