How do I make investing sound fun?


I don't find the thing fun. Driving a demolition derby car would be fun.

buy a 80 something caprice and use it for that. Can find oen easily for less than $1000.

Dev, the $25,000 I mentioned is kind of like a PSL. The $25k only gets you the opportunity to bid on a seat.

Some are different.. there is SATA and IDE. Your compaq is IDE. you dont have to buy a new HD though.. just get through the formating process.

It appears the HDD is screwed up. I tried re-installing Windows because it's slow as hell. My background loads, and then 5 minutes later my taskbar loads. I have no sound, no internet. I boot from disk and it tells me cannot find hard disk or something like that.

Can you boot at all?

Yes, Run check disk to fix your HDD block errors

Finish reinstall windows

No, Find second CPU. Pull HDD out, put in external case and run check disk through second CPU.

Your internet and sound drivers were wiped when you reinstalled windows. Go to manufacture site on second CPU, DL, burn to disk and reinstall.

Anything else messing up?

Depends on the laptop.

Most are SATA 2.5" drives. Go to your manufacture site to confirm. Purchase a Hitachi drive off newegg, I just bought two for each of my laptops and they are excellent.

I've never been able to re-install windows. I was trying to re-install windows because it had been running slow and my sound and internet quit working.

SOB....I got moved from the conference room (where my desk was) to the main office and the stupid *** secretary has the aC going WITH the door open at 7 AM. My head is literally freezing and I can't stay at my desk for more than 10 mins. Bish is so inconsiderate even though another coworker has complained about this. I'mma burn this mutha down one of these days to get some heat.

If he can get into Windows he can partition.

I've never been able to re-install windows. I was trying to re-install windows because it had been running slow and my sound and internet quit working.

Do the following and tell me what it shows.

Right click my computer, go to hardware tab, click on the drivers button, see if your internet and sound has a yellow ! next to them. If so, either reinstall or right click and try to fix from there.

wow man, funny coincidence, I have a 160gb SATA HD that I cant use Because I need IDE. If you want it let me know.
