two questions.
how well do saltwater systems work? would you prefer them over chlorine?

and what is the ratio of bleachd you should use versus chlorine tablets?

use tablets all of the time to maintain the chlorine level until your stabilizer levels gets to high, then you switch to liquid chlorine until the stablizer level drops.

Well DBF is the expert. I know the overall cost on FG is slightly less on install. Since the form is pre-made there is less time for install = less labor = less monies. I really don't know if concrete is superior, but in my head it seems like it would be more durable. I basically told Flip it sux, because I like going against the grain with him. In my mind I would think concrete is the better choice, but I am not expert and could be my mind making shit up to justify the monies I spent lol.

Doing some quick reading it is really preference. With FG you are limited to the shapes they offer. With concrete you get pretty much unlimited and if want to spend the dough, can get a completely custom one off. Fiberlgass tends to have a slick surface, but is easier to maintins and clean because of this. Less chemicals used due to FG not leaching alkalis. More options for finishes to concrete, but needs refinishing from time to time. Some claim FG is more prone to pop out, especially if pool ever has to be drained.

A lot of pros and cons to both, which is why I guess they both near equally as popular for an inground choice.

FB is great, but it does have it's disadvantages similar to vinyl as you can't drain it as the tub itself may pop up out of the ground.

Good to know. I really have no complaints. Ever since I got it fully stabilized the pool is just about maintenance free.
