pH needs to be balanced before adding chlorine/shock. Otherwise you're wasting time & money.

Also liquid chlorine(bleach) is 100% better than the packs. The packs contain calcium which can boost your hardness amount waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy up there.

two questions.

how well do saltwater systems work? would you prefer them over chlorine?

and what is the ratio of bleachd you should use versus chlorine tablets?
