If your chlorine level drops below 1, you should still add liquid chlorine to the pool to bring it back up. This is so you don't shorten the lifetime of your cell.

I have added in the past, but haven't needed to in a while. It is set at 20% and I run my setup for 8 hours a day. Chlorine hasn't dipped below 3.

I just had this guy look @ me like I was nuts a few days ago. He swears his pool is sanitized by salt, I told him it was chlorine, he says otherwise.

I told him that the EPA reconizes 3 types of sanitizers, Chlorine, Bromine, and Biguianide. If your not using any of those 3 sanitizers, your pool isn't sanitary and isn't safe to be in.
