Crunch went in protection, wtf ?

hey guys, I have an AS12 (2 ohm) running to a Crunch 1000 amp, its running at 1 ohm (1000 rms), with 8 ga. wiring and heres my question when the sub hits the protect light flashes very dim, but it never goes into protect, but today i was listening to rock, the sub was barely hitting and the amp went into protect !?!?!??! I was very confused, do you think it could be the small 8 ga. wire messing things up? ??

another thing, i use to hav thos subs u mite want to get a biger amp i ran 2 of them in a concept cd-2410 ant they f'n hit hard!

ya, im about to order some 4 ga. kollosus cable, but i kinda just want to stick with this amp b/c once i get everything working properly (hopefully this solves it) thats plenty of bass for me lol

crunch should of been in protection since day 1
