Crunch P1-5000.5, just how bad are they?

I picked up a 2003 F150 for pretty much a steal, but it didn't even have any of the original stock stereo for some reason.

So I figured I would put in a modest setup. I figure a single 10 or 12 in a center console enclosure so i do not sacrifice any rear seat space since that will be occupied by my 3 offspring.

I already have an 880prs and a set of CDT comps that i do not know the model number to. Anyway my intention was an active setup. So i set out to find a modest amp. I picked up one of these crunch amps for a fair price.

I tried to link it but i am getting post denied.

Yes i know, crunch is nowhere near being a high end line. But just how bad is it? Anywhere near rated? This is my first venture into the world of 5 channels. According to the specs i can run 4 x 62 watts and 150 x 1 at 4 ohm. But can i run 4 x 62 at 4 ohm and 250 x 1 at 2 ohm? Or do all channels need to see the same resistance?

This amp is just to get me by until i can pick up some better hardware. For the sub i am planning a single Dcon 12 with 1.15 cubes sealed. I do not have the room to port it since i need to keep some of the center console space reserved for my CCW.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for the quality of product as I don't have any experience with them. But I asked the same question as far as 4ohm load to the door speakers and 2ohm load to the sub and everyone said it was fine as long as the amp is atleast 2ohm stable. I haven't connected my door speakers yet, still debating on which ones, but I had a few different people saying it would be okay, so I'm assuming they knew what they were talking about! Not sure about the price on the Crunch, but I heard the Sounstream Rub5.800 is a good budget amp. They have some on Ebay, new, for $185.

Okay well i got my CDT set wired in passive right now since i am still trying to decide how i want everything to lay out.

Anyway, for some reason the comp set bottoms out really easy. As in have to cross them way high to get even moderate volume. However there is no audible distortion, just popping from bottoming out. The doors are not sealed up yet, so i know that is a factor. But even taking into that into consideration, am i wrong in thinking that they should not bottom out so easy?
