Crunch Amps

How are the maxxsonics Crunch brand amplifers.... the new series looks very similar to the hifoncs amps, with the illumination. They are priced very good as well. I know they will most likely be a little overrated, but are they at least decent?

Well Hifonics amps were never bad in the first place. They were overrated yes, (by alot for mine BX1500D 1500rms true ratings at 1310). But they are still decent amps for the money, If u dont truely want to go all out on the huge brand names than I say go for it, its a good bang for the buck

I would definately do some searching (alot) to see if you can find something else, but if all else fails, give it a shot.

Thanks for the replies... I am going to look for a hifnics mno on ebay, if I can get one for less than $175 I will get that instead of the crunch. I need something to put out 500-600rms x1 @ 2ohm.

Actually there is an Alpine MRD-M605 for sale on this forum. 10x better than both, will put out 600 @ 2 ohm and I think he is asking $150. Let me get you the link.

I have had a couple infiniti amps, and would take that Alpine any day of the week. Honestly, if you were considering Crunch amps, and can get a solid Alpine amp that does what you need at the same price, what is there to think about.
