If you like em, whats ur fav model and why... Now im really starting to look and cant keep my mind off the 04 blk/slvr R1 with 300 miles on it for $8K ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif ..

i love crotch rockets, i would kill for an 06 GSXR600. only two bikes i have ever ridden have been a CBR600F3, and a VFR750. hated the VFR, clutch was too stiff, didnt like the way it leaned, had a good motor to it though with lots of torque. the F3 is a great riding bike, very forgiving, great to learn on IMO

if you are looking for a first bike, and you are looking at an R1, i can say with a fair amount of confidence that within a few months you probably wont be around to post anymore...

i was going to buy my first crotchrocket this year right after i got laid off, i was going to buy a gsxr 600, but instead i bought a 79 volkswagen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

so i could've had an insanely fast bike, but instead i bought a car that does 0-60 in like 18 seconds. that's ok though because at least i can put a system in a vw.

it was a once in a lifetime opportunity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

oh well i'll just buy the bike next year

yeah a frist bike and r1 isn't the best idea unless you've got a lot of other riding experience like on dirt bike's and such. my favorite bike is my hayabusa although i do love the new kawasaki zx14's.

My fav. bike (that i've actually rode) is a cbr 954rr.

Bikes i've ridden:

'96 ninja zx-11 (mine)

'99 cbr 600f4

'96 cbr 600f3

'02 r1

'03 r6

'03 (I think) cbr 954rr

'99 cbr 900f4

'02 (I think) hayabusa Fast as hell but not as fun as the smaller bikes

Another thing about this is , every 04-05 i like for 8k or less is a 600 with at least 3-4k miles... So when i look at it like that ...???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

04 R1 300 miles showroom condition for that... its a steal

yeah its a steal, i was just saying though because i see alot of beginner riders that want to run out and jump on a busa or a zx14 and they think they can roll the throttle full tilt and go with it. and then they find big bikes for cheap and wanna get on em and go fast without even knowing what they are doing.

wasnt trying to knock ya, just seeing how much experience you had //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

personally, i like smaller bikes alot better than liter bikes, they might be a little slower, but they can be more fun in the twisties. and nowadays the performance gap is getting even smaller

I've raced the mini motos for a few years now then moved up to a 2000 GSX 500 That I learned on and beat on (not an R) then saved up and bought my 2004 MV Agusa F4 SPR. Only a couple hundred made. Carbon fiber/Magnesium alloy frame. Complete carbon fairings. Magnesium and aluminum components (Triple tree, swingarm, etc..) Pay about $250 a month for a $30000 bike. But It'll be the last one I own...Quick, nimble, exclusive, this baby is mine till I die...

VERY nice bike man.. Treat it like your baby (or car) since its more expensive than 99% of member cars n this forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
