Crossfire VR2000D @1ohm daily?

Can I live?
I was thinking about getting a VR2000D to power my CSX, but I have a 1ohm load and these amps are stable @2ohms. Could I run this safely down to my load daily with a decent electrical, staying above 12v? Factory specs sometimes mean nothing, so I was trying to find some of you experienced guys to give me some insight. Hell, my 1501D ran @1ohm unmodded, and never had any problems.

Its either this or a Hifonics 2607D, in the same price range

why would staying above 12v with 'decent electrical' mean anything ?

These amps can supply around 40 amps of current.. I recommend you set your gains so you arn't exceeding that if you run at 1ohm... They will smoke if you try to push far past that envelope...

I'm a semi-noob, so work with me please. Are you saying that I should not try to get the full power from the amp if I'm running at 1ohm?

I own one myself but haven't tried 1ohm, going from other's experiences I'd be carfull...

You will more then likely get less clean power at 1ohm then you will at 2ohms.. and if you push it hard you could blow it up.. I've heard of this happening quite a bit..

Set the gains carefully and you will be laughing, albeit with somewhat less power...

Could you make a guess at about how much less? I need at least 2000daily
