Have a crossfire vr705d 5 channel amp. Was gonna run all the speaker channels at 4 ohms, but would the sub channel handle 1 ohm with 0 guage from front battery to an hc1400 right in front of the amp? Anyone run crossfire amps at 1 ohm? Thanks!

I have a BMF 1000d that I ran at one ohm to test some JL Audio 10w3v2s with a lot more power and I had no issues as a result of it. I managed to drive the JL Audio subs past their physical limitations in the sealed box, but the amp kept banging along //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you can try it but idk, most 5 ch amps seem to have heat issues. i know the cfa amps were known to run at 1 ohm loads and do fine. not so sure about their newer stuff. i know my vr602 gets warm at 4 ohms bridged (had to add a fan) and my vr 401 gets warm at 2 ohms. doubt they would do well with lower loads honestly.
