tell them you lost your job and want to settle. they'll prolly settle since they think you don't have a job and they want to get paid something rather than nothing. very important to get a letter of deletion, and yes get it in writing first then pay them. soon as you get that letter of deletion, fwd it to the 3 credit bureaus, and by law they have 30days to respond to your request or they'll have to delete it from your cred report.

heh my girl has owed this one credit card taht was at first 200 and we sent them the payment but they say they didnt process it till after it was due even though they got it a week before it was due.

now its at $900 but its been two years close to 3. california statue of limitations only gives them 4 years to collect and i aint paying them shit

Not sure what you mean by credit repair. But I was a good 60,000 bucks in debt a few years ago and just clamied chapter 7, which if I remember was clearing all funds. Well I dont regret doing it that much. Reason being that I just started getting back into debt with cc's. I am at about 5gs right now. I suggest if you try and do this repair thing or decide to go bankrupt then dont and I repeat dont get any credit cards till you are finically stable. I do ok for myself, but not enough to put large payments down on the cc bill. So I just usually make minimmum payments. I hate being in finical debt, but I did do it too myself. I guess people like me never learn. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Good luck on getting your shit straighted out.

About 3 years ago I had $12,000 in credit card debt and had a vehicle repossed. My credit score was under 600, since then I've paid everything off and my credit score is over 700 now. Good enough that I was able to get a loan for a new vehicle at an 8% interest rate.

my credit score is 12.
you are annoying and contribute nothing.

On a lighter note,

Don't sign up for those Credit advisors that "make your payments lower," that is all a bunch of crap.

Just work with the debtors and make as big of payments as you can.
