Creative people: I need help designing a logo!

never learned photoshop, so i stick to paint shop pro X.

it has an emboss option, but its not the same.

ill show you what the Hot Wax does....

alright, well here is the final product. Critique away, its not perfect, i just cant find anything else to do.

quality sucks because of photobucket, but you get the jist of it.

i dont have anything else to do to it. im really not creative at all, thas why i started this thread. i was hopeing for some suggestions.

I think you should atleast put your band's full name on it somewhere. PS can stand for anything. I guess that your logo will kinda fit into your type of music. I would try working with various images and try to find something that fits you the best.

well i would use just the plain flower for a logo on a poster with our name and everything to advertise a gig. The one with the PS will just be going on the website as a home page with some music playing. im pretty sure that if you able to type in ParadigmShift.com you would know what PS stood for.

I changed it a bit to this to make it look like the letters are soposed to be there, rather than just pasted over it. Not sure if i like it more, but i do like it.

right now the next thing im trying to do is make the fire glow more. im having a bit of trouble doing it though, because i dont want to alter the flames in any way, i just want to add some orange to the the black surrounding it to make them look like they are actually giving off light.

I have tried just spray painting an orange halo, but it didnt look right. I tried copying the flames and pasting them back over a spraypainted section, but that didnt look right either. i also tried the last method using blur filters, but nothing ever looked how i wanted it to. i wish there was a command on PSP like in photoshop just called 'glow'
