Craftsman vs. snap on. worth a fight??

Snap on from what ive seen is a great company.. just not worth the 6-10X more than craftsman for the daily user.,, I mean come on.. if it has a lifetime warranty no matter what, how can you go wrong.. And to the poster who said my step dad is sad or whatever , your absolutely right.. Hes what ppl call the one upper, he always has do out do you and know the most.., I m not that kind of person but when ppl argue w me in 3 rd person ( from what they hear from others or word-of-mouth ) and not there own personal experience and talk sh!t about things they have no clue about it pisses me off

I didnt mean this to be a rant but when i do something for a living and do it well i take pride in it, and to have some fuk bag like my stepdad who has absolutely no clue about carpentry tries to one up me and tell me im wrong, he went too far , considering he couldnt even build his own garage.. i have many pics of my work and ( and many w me in them ) to show my work , but above that , i still like craftsman //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

For precision tools and for my car, i use my dad's snap-on tools. When i have to beat on my tools, i grab the craftsman. All my torque wrenches are snap-on and armstrong. Craftsman sockets and screwdrivers are a joke. They strip stuff like no tomorrow. And in tight spaces they **** too.
if you strip a craftsman 6 pt socket , i dont think the problem is the socket

Craftsman ftw man. I jsut had a craftsman socket go bad last week. Went by sears, they handed me a rebuild kit, i went home, snapped the pin out, put the all new stuff in, and put the new pin in, and was good to go.
Sockets? Or did you mean rachets?

I swear by Craftsman for most handtools, even crappy ones that don't carry the life-time warranty.

craftsman, tired of messing around with harbor freight, or worse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif type stuff.

Power tools, I'm gonna learn from handtool mistakes and go with a nice one from the get go this week.

me and dad have a set of craftsman and snap on tools.. both sets a couple thousand $ .... I like snap on better as in ratchets and stuff like that.. craftsman wears out and our snap-on ratchets are still workin without slippage.

you linked to a set of 7wrenches for 100bucks. Expensive yes, but when you get the chance to use them you won't give a **** what they cost.
We already picked that exact set up too
and like i said the same set in snap on is 399..

and like i said for what.. the 5 th time now... If it slips once .. bring it back and get a new one for free...

I love snap on on, if i could afford a new 348 pc socket drive set like i got for my craftman and a ball bearing chest all for under 800 bux , id love it...

bottom line a single 93 pc socket set from snap on is running 400 buc, and the exact similar 3 cabinet chest is going for 1200 .. so for me a good set of craftsman tools and chest > snap on

600>1600

and that 1600 snap on set included alot less, by about 300 tools/sockets etc and in chest footage

whoa, didn't konw snap on was like that, and can't imagine needing more then our craftman can deliver.

We haven't gone out and dropped thousands at a time, but have gathered a nice collection of hand tools by spending ~$100 at a time every couple/few months for the last 5years

craftsman nowadays just replaces it with 1 someone broke and they fixed or a used 1.. and its not worth goin through all the trouble. if u dont have the money to buy snap on the craftsman is nice. but if u do snap on is excellent.
