Cracking my window makes it louder

Weh mah Savage?
I have a small truck. It's a 2002 Ford Ranger. I have 2 12" Polk MOMOs running off of a Mark Antony 25opcm, about 800w RMS. I've noticed that at decent volumes I get a good bass boost by opening my windows. I'm wondering if because I have such a small cabin space that there just isn't enough air with the windows up to get the full volume. Does this sound about right? I've heard that there isn't much cabin gain in a truck. Does opening the window help compensate for the lack of air volume?

I just feel like a punk drivin' around bumpin' with my windows down. It just really makes a noticable difference. But hey, I did it in the winter too. The extra low end was worth the slight chill. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

same effect for me, cant stand the bass with the windows up. plus, i dont us AC cuz of the price of gas, so my windows are down anyways. wont hear me doing any bass drivebys though.

I agree mine sounds louder with the windows down . . .wonder if thats cause you get whats inside and whats outside or is just more air for the subs to work with .

btw I have a corsica anybody have that opinion that has an suv????
