covering holes in door: where to get plexi?

Sounds like what most people use to cover the holes in thier door is plexiglass. Cut it out to match the hole in the door and seal it via liquid nails or something like that. Where can I find plexi (Minneapolis) and what do you use to cut it?

Also, what do you use to seal the very small holes? Finally..if I use liquid nails to glue the plexi down will I be able to pry it back up again in the spring when I want to do my deadener? (Too **** cold now!)

You can use plexi but I used masonite, same stuff that pegboard is made from. I would recommend using silicone to secure it instead of liquid nails. In case you have to pull the panels back off the silicone will be easier to remove. Anyway you can get all of it at Home Depot or Lowe's including the plexi. To cover the small holes you can either fill them with silicone or cover them with duct tape until you put your deadener on.

Plexi is expensive for that. Aluminum sheetmetal secured with self tapping screws is easier cuz it bends. But for anything less than 4 or 5 inches I just cover the hole with deadener.

Havent looked anywhere yet. Still wondering how I cut plexi.

If sheet metal works I might give that a try...or I've got some masonite around..but thats pretty **** thick.
