i am building a box for 4 cvr kicker 12 d2s. i need help with the port. right now the box is 39.5 wide 35.5 deep 15 high the port i came up with is

9x9x11deep my ? is, is 81 in2 enough space for 8.81 cf my total displacement is .96 box sould be tuned around 36hz. is this all correct?

subs up port up

and if i extend the port up to the rear deck and cut away the metal so theres no obstrutions would this be better then just staing flat with the box?

If you gave external dimensions, subtract 1.5" from each dimension to find the box's volume. If you remove 0.96 cf of sub displacement and port volume (9x9x11+wood) ~ .6 cf... that leaves an internal volume of 5.6 cf.

According to a port calculator, an 11" port should tune to 46 Hz.

Check it all for yourself on The 12 Volt's Online Calculators

On a side note, you want around 15 sq in of port area per cubic foot of internal volume of the box. You have the right amount of port area: 81 vs 84
