Could It Fit? Please Help

I have 2 Type E 10" subs in a truck box. The Type E subs have a mounting depth of 5.7". My current truck box is 5 1/2" top depth & 8 1/2" bottom depth.

Do you think I could fit a Type R (6.8" mounting depth) in that same box? I'm just worried if i'll have enough room for the bigger magnet. I know it would be a close fit.

Another option would be sell my type e subs, box & amp & get just a single sub with one single truck box that would put out more power than those 2 Es put together & i'd also have more room behind the seats.

it would be too close for comfort IMO. You couldnt put just 1 R in your dual type E box. Get a single encosure built to type R specs.

i was thinking of 2 type rs...but if u think it'll be too close then I'll get a new box.

my current box is:

5 1/2" Top Depth

8 1/2" Bottom Depth

16" Height

40" Width

But I could prolly fit a box that has a 2" bigger bottom depth & 1" bigger top depth & it can be 3 1/2" taller. You think thats still too close? I like my Alpine subs (would like to stay with alpine), just want something that hits a little harder.
