well the locksmith and the dealership said i had to goto a locksmith so they can "decode" or whatever the lock itself and some other shit

i dont know, im not a locksmith, thats just what i was told... but i know for a fact if i dont get a working key there not gettin a single dime

Try doing this: buy a blank key that fits your lock. Color it with a sharpie marker then put it in your ignition while the ink is still wet and turn it back and forth. The pins in the lock should rub off the ink. Then take a dremel and file away where the marks from the pins are.

I saw a repo guy do it on a Discovery channel show a while ago. It only took him a couple minutes to do so an unexperienced person not under a time limit could maybe do it.

 
Dealership wanted to charge me $50 just to have my key cut (i brought him the key) for a brand new cut key would've been $95. I think ur gettin off pretty cheap. Also mine doesn't have the transponder if it did it'd probably be $100+

Wouldn't work if his car key's use the transponders. pretty much any car made after 96
