Corvette audio help

Hi, I am looking to see if the speakers I have picked out for my build are gonna sound good. This is my first post on any forums so I’m not really sure how this works lol. When I upgraded the speakers in my truck, I learned a base line level of knowledge and used that on my new car, turns out that was a bad idea and I ended up returning everything. I did a bunch more research and comparing products but I’m still unsure about some things. My build is in a 2014 corvette, and… well it’s a pain to work on in the audio department, I want a nice clear and quality sound while retaining a somewhat mild budget.

Here’s what I’m thinking about getting

JL Audio C1-690- doors
JL Audio C2-525- rear panels
JL Audio JD400/4- to power it all

And future plans for a
JL Audio CP210-WOv3 sub

Anyway I want the hear some opinions and advice on this setup and I’m open to new suggestions, thanks

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're making some solid choices. It's great that you're doing your research! If you have specific questions about the JL Audio components or want to know about compatibility, sound quality, or setup tips, feel free to ask!

Solid choices. I think most of would say JL is overpriced, but they do make solid gear. I'd look at CDT for speakers - they'll have a lot more options.

Would these speakers offer a full range, I thought there was only woofers, mid range and tweeters, but I guess there’s also midbass and I could be missing some too. I’m still learning, the c1s say they can go as low as 39 hz so would that count as mid bass?

Woofers & midbass are the same thing. Midbass is typically from ~80h to 2-4khz, which is where tweeters woul take over.

I can't think of any other 6x9 options. Make sure you have the depth available.
There’s definitely enough depth, stocks are 10 mid bass and there’s a good amount of depth, a freind asked me something I didn’t consider, would a better quality 6.5 be better, something like the Jl c3 6.5 or should I stick to the c1 6x9?

TBH, I'd look at fitting a 10" driver in there. I assume there is an OEM location for a midrange.

I'd lok at Morel. They had 3 way with 9" midbass. Not sure if that's still on the market. Imho, a general rule of thumb is that a midbass bigger than 7" requires a dedicated mirage or ~2" wideband.
The doors also have a spot for a 3.5 midrange but I could find much that had the right mount, should I fill those places? I’m not sure how I would amplify them but if it would make a notable difference I could figure it out, also should I replace the center dash midrange 3.5, if I should do those do you have any recommendations to look at? Sorry for all the questions but thank you for all the help

I found Sundown Audio SA3M and they seem like a good pick if I were to do it, but if I do it it would be in a couple months when I have more money for another amp, should I plan to do that? Also I have a pair of jL Audio C2-350x around from something else, should I use those for now or leave it? Since they are two way coaxials my concern would be that it could make the audio muddy but I’m not sure.
