I am replacing the stereo deck in my 2000 Ford Mustang, and I bought a Pioneer DEH-X6700BS. The wiring harness that it came with (Metra 70-5511) says that it is for stereos that are 35w or less, but my new stereo has a max output of 50w.
Also, there is a similar wiring harness available (Metra 70-5510) that is made for stereos that are 35w or greater. I was just wondering what the difference is between these two harnesses, and if the 35w or less harness will work with a 50w stereo.
This is my first time installing a new stereo, so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
