correct way to wire? picture to explain.

This may sound silly, but if you have a DVC sub, then you would get a 4 ohm load through parallel. If you really wanted to go 1 ohm on your amp, could you simply use one VC from each sub, or do you always have to use both? I thought the ploy of DVC is expandability as an option, not a necessity?
it would depend on the impendence of the subs Voice coils. If u have 2ohm DVC sub and u wire in a parallel than u would get an 1 ohm load.

I was speaking on 4 ohm DVC subs. Sorry for the confusion. Basically, what I'm asking is when using DVC subs, do you HAVE to use both voice coils. An example would be obtaining a 1ohm load with 4 4ohm DVC subs. The lowest impedance you get using both VC's is 2 ohms, so can you simply use 1 VC to get 1 ohm load?

hmmmm.....smartasses lol jk... i dont really ever read the elctrical threads and i guess thats y i dont know ohms law lol. i seen rockford fosgate in the link but havnt been to their website till now.

Completely and utterly incorrect. Please, never give advice. Ever.

No. Also the lowest impedance would be .5ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

You could do it, but then you'd only be able to give the subwoofer HALF of rated power since you're only using 1 coil.

Just don't do it.

That's what I wanted to know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
