Correct Settings on amplifier? Planet Audio

Hi all, I have been getting some weird smells from my audiobahn awt10x that is supposed to be 2000 W RMS (but its audiobahn so its about 13-17 W RMS)

Anyways I wanted to make sure my amplifier is setup correctly (setting wise)

Here is a picture of the dials and such.

My pioneer premeir deck puts out 2V.

My audiobahn is dual Voice coil 2 ohms, so I had it wired for 1 ohm. ( I guess at 14 V my amp Planet audio TT2250P does 2000W) But now I wired it at 4 ohm and it still sounds just as loud (maybe a little more SQ ) for some reason.

Anyways, if you guys could tell me if my setting are correct that would help a lot. Thanks.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Have you ever transported a dead body? If so, there might be a hand or two left behind in the trunk...
And what kind of camera is that you used? Very nice resolution for being so close.
Very confused about what your saying about dead bodies.

Thats my camera on my phone. Nothing special.... its on low detail setting. ..

What does "bass boost" do?

When I change the bass boost the sub doesnt get louder or anything... im very confused.

(could it be broken? )

Turn you're sub box around to face the back of the car, it will give a nice boost in volume, facing them foward in the trunk causes some cancellation.

is this true or just a myth? Would this cause more vibrations id have to deaden?

T'is absolutely true and has actual basis in physics.

You're licence plate will probably rattle more though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The reason I dont have it pointing backwards is becuase I want to "feel" the bass. So someone in the sounddomain chat room told me to point it at the front and put the back seat down. *shrug* Is that not correct? In about an hour I will go turn mine around and see what happends.

My box pretty much Blocks the whole trunk.... so maybe thats why. Becuase right now if I open the trunk when its playing, I hear almost no bass. We will C.

Ok wow major difference. For some reason Louder, cleaner, and MORE feeling of the bass. My dash actully started shaking this time. Wow. Could someone scientifically explain to me why?

(p.s. My trunk lids estimated time of death is 3 days)

input all the way up,

filter at 25 but if you a o-scope it would be a shit load easier to set

bring your lowpassfilter allt he way down

phase at 0

bass boost allt he way down you'll never need it.

get a DMM and a 50Hz tone

pop in the 50Hz tone and put on repeat. No equalizers or loud mode or whatever you have on your reciever.

to get the voltage gain you need SQRT(RMSxResistance[

with the sub out of the amp connect the DMM thats set to AC and slowly turn the lowpassfilter knob till you have recieved the voltage form the equation.
