prices fluctuate so much, call a local metal recycling place and ask the going rate. Copper is expensive. My buddy makes like $300 a month just taking in old house wiring.

my dads an electrician, and its funny i came upon this topic, bc he gets old copper off his jobs and trades it in for cash and he actullay has some copper bus bars sittin at my house right now. i doubt hes tryin to sell em but i can ask

my grandpa owns a recycling bussiness so i might be able to come up wit some if anyone wants to make a buss bar. copper is goin for anywhere between $2 and $3 a pound around here right now

they want $27 for a piece 8 x 2 x .25 but for 29 you can get the same piece 12" long

yeah i just looked there and it is 25.62 for a piece .25" x 2" x 12"

so they are definitely cheaper, but if you dont have any means of cutting it to size that might be a problem since they dont offer custom sizes.

but they are cheaper if you can cut it to size your self
