Alright.. This may be a very dumb question to many of you so excuse me. . . I just am not an electrical genius. lol... But I want to know how to convert a car's 12v electrical system to a 16 volt system... Obviously just to get the most out of my amps when they are installed...

A 16 volt battery system requires a charging system that exceeds 18 volts

18+ volts will start frying most automotive electrical components

Most 16 volt systems are separated or isolated from the vehicles electrical systems

Turbo start use to make a 16 volt battery with 12 volt output post for the vehicles system

I’m nor aware of another battery with this 12 volt output.

A 16+ volt system is a expensive project; over 1,000.00

Utilizing an alternator(s) that will charge at ~18V and 16V batteries. Kinetik and XSPower make 16V batteries.

You separate the vehicle's OEM electrical components via a shunt so they will continue to see ~12V, while the audio system sees the increased voltage.

Sounds like too much work. lol.. I think I will go with what Bobfig said and just usea dual alt set up if i ever decide ill need that much. . . Thanks guys.
