So there's power going to my head unit (Amp Remote, Constant 12v and ignition 12v are all connected and hot...) plus when I turn the car to ON, a little red light goes on the head unit on the top of it for about half a second.

What are the possible reasons for it not turning on?

I have plugged it into my friends car with the same wiring harness and it all worked fine....

Thanks.

He means that your car may have amplified speakers from the factory. Some cars will run a factory amp that works the same way your aftermarket system does. It has an amp turn on wire, probably not blue and white though. What car do you have? If so you can bypass these or you can just run the amp(s). Some older cars w/ bose will have a little mini amplifier on each speaker too and that puts them at two ohms. if you have that your HU might be going to protect. If you replaced your speakers check that the chassis of the speakers isnt grounding to the car.

Try only powering up the unit

Disconnect the speaker leads

Disconnect the amp and power antenna leads

You may have a short in one of theses connections
