Convergence amp replacing

I found a tv for sale in my area. Its a 48" JVC rear projection. He only wants $75 because the convergence amp is messed up according to him.

How much are those usually to replace? He said he found a shop around him that will do it for $100. Is that a good price?

I would say that if the convergence amp is out then there is probably something else wrong with it. I wouldn't take the risk...
