contact cement and sound deadner

i am planning a little project tommorow in whcih i am going to be contact cementing ccf to my AT 60mil on my hatch lid and was wondering if anybody knows if the chemicals in the deadner doesnt react well with contact cement and the glue wouldnt bond correctly because of this... thanks for any info

Don at sound deadener showdown sells it specifically for bonding ccf and mlv. What's AT?

Should be fine. The cement will actually be contacting the foil anyway,correct? Don't see where it could hurt.

yeah im just making sure i want a good bond is why i ask.. in my job i see adhesives fail all the time lol...

and AT is Audiotechnix sound deadner.

I can't be sure, but I'm going to say it should bond pretty good. If you're unsure, test it on a small area or using scraps before doing the actual install.

Most contact cements will be fine there, especially when you consider how much weight it will need to carry. Since you're probably using the CCF to stop rattles it will be compressed and you could probably get away with no adhesive. I use a few drops of hot glue for projects like that. That's what the manufacturers do

Never saw that, I think that would be a great material on it.
